Olly Murs has admitted he feels “guilty” because his wife looks after their daughter while he is on the road.

The former X Factor star is currently on tour with Take That, having left home just 48 hours after his other half Amelia Tank gave birth to their first child.

The last few weeks have been turbulent for Olly, to say the least, who was reunited with his little girl, called Madison, last week before being whisked away again for his opening duties.

The 39-year-old was performing at London's O2 Arena this weekend when he declared his admiration for Amelia as she spends the first few precious weeks alone with Madison, changing diapers galore.

“It's been the craziest time,” he began, in quotes obtained by Daily Mail.

'Because obviously, on the one hand I have this beautiful little girl, my wife is at home taking care of her with diapers and sleepless nights.

'And I'm on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!'

Olly continued: 'But this week I've been home. I'm out of diapers, out of late nights and I can't wait to keep touring.

'I am joking! Honestly, she is really amazing. I never thought I would be a father, so I can't believe it.

The Heart Skips A Beat hitmaker then jokingly pointed to his nether region and laughed: 'It works! And I'm really super, super proud.

“And being on this tour is just the best. So what an incredible time for me right now.

Former The Voice UK coach Olly then performed what was sweetly called 'the Murs mini medley', consisting of his fan favorite songs: Troublemaker, Moves and Dear Darlin'.

“When I went on this tour, I thought, I just want to play a bunch of my songs that I hope some of you remember,” he explained.

“And before the baby arrived, we actually called this next section the Murs mini medley.

'And so, ladies and gentlemen, if you've been following my career since 2009, some of these songs you'll remember, I hope you like them. This is literally my Super Bowl moment!

Olly and his bodybuilder wife, 31, announced the arrival of their daughter last Thursday.

Amelia, who married Olly in July last year, shared a video of him on stage after saying goodbye.

Sharing a clip of Olly's performance, Amelia wrote on social media: “I've just been sat feeding our baby Madi and then we saw this post. She doesn't even know she has a super daddy yet. We are both missing her terribly but we are so proud of you @ollymurs.

Olly reposted Amelia's video, followed by a photo of him hugging a bunny after receiving it as a gift from a fan on tour.

He wrote: 'Ah, guys. Madi will love it.
