Si King flashed a brave smile as he was seen publicly for the first time since the death of his friend and Hairy Bikers co-star David Myers.

Fans have been in mourning since TV star Myers died on February 28 at the age of 66.

Myers escaped peacefully with his wife Liliana Orzac, 57, and longtime friend Si, also 57, by his side, two years after being diagnosed with cancer.

Si has kept a low profile since his defeat but appeared upbeat as he sat outside a cafe.

The cooking show host was joined by an old friend and co-worker, Nicole Kavanagh-Stubbs, who was also seen leaving his hotel (Groucho Club) with him with bags for the night before catching the train back to the North.

Nicole appeared to be comforting Si following the death of her beloved Myers, herself no stranger to grief after her teenage son Lewis Stubbs died in a tragic plane crash in 2019 in the French Alps.

She and Si have always been close, and he will no doubt be happy to have her as support during his grief.

Si cut a casual figure in jeans, pairing a jeans and jacket combo with a sweater underneath.

He seemed in good spirits as he and Nicole chatted over lunch.

At one point, Si generously stopped to take photos with an adoring fan.

Si's departure comes after he admitted it was “very strange” to continue working without Myers by his side.

In a message to fans before voting closed for a prestigious award, he spoke candidly about persevering after such a devastating loss.

He wrote on X: 'Dave and I were delighted to be nominated once again for the Fortnum [and] Mason Food Personality of the Year Award for the 4th consecutive year.

“Dave was very proud of this award, especially because it was voted on by our loyal followers and fans, the people who matter most to us.

'It's really strange for us all not to have Dave around, but for now, we'll keep posting on the Hairy Bikers social media to keep in touch with all those people who have been so kind over many years and particularly over the last few weeks.'

Si promised that the team would stay in touch with fans about several “projects that will live on” after Myers' death.

He also assured that he will attend events over the summer where he will meet his supporters in person.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Myers' wife inherited the BBC star's company.

The broadcaster's will has not yet been released, but he left Liliana his company Sharpletter Limited, according to Companies House.

Liliana was named the only person with significant control of the television producer on March 27th.

His latest accounts, presented last year, show he has £1,407,338 in the bank.

After the death of her beloved husband, Liliana wrote in a statement: 'Rest in peace, my love… Until we meet again.'

She later issued a statement to thank the public for their outpouring of love and condolences.

Liliana wrote: “I will never be able to thank you all enough for the enormous outpouring of love, compassion and care you have shown me, Simon and our families in the last few days since Dave passed away.

'I want everyone to know that I read every message and comment you sent… your stories about Dave, your feelings you shared with me mean so much and my heart is full of gratitude and love.

“I'm amazed at how many hearts he touched and how many people wanted to express their love for what Dave and Si have created for almost 20 years.”

She noted how she felt like she was “mourning for an entire nation,” which is “something special.”
