MANILA, Philippines – Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail across the country due to easterly winds with chances of light rains and isolated thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In the morning forecast, Pagasa advised the public to bring umbrellas when heading out, as the heat is expected to peak from noon on Sunday.

“The entire part of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience hot and humid weather, especially in the afternoon. So when we go out, let's not forget our shields against the direct heat of the sun,” said meteorologist Grace Castañeda.
