MANILA, Philippines – Two police officers are facing adultery and concubinage complaints after their spouses – who are also law enforcement officers – caught them allegedly having an affair in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Laguna, according to police.

In a report on Sunday, Laguna Police The Provincial Office (PPO) said the two complainants caught their partners allegedly committing adultery inside a parked vehicle along Barangay Canlubang in Calamba City at around 10 a.m. on April 25.

Police investigators said the officers wanted to confront their spouses, but the suspects tried to hit their partners before trying to escape the area.

The male complainant shot one of the vehicle's tires, while the female complainant shot her husband, who was immediately trying to leave.

According to Laguna PPO, only the male suspect, who suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder, was captured by agents when they arrived at the scene.

He was taken to Global Medical Center Canlubang for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the suspect fled to Batangas using the vehicle.

To locate her, the police conducted a trawl operation.
