The Seattle Seahawks are taking a step back from reunion history.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Saturday that the Seahawks have released veteran linebacker Frank Clark. The move comes just two months after Seattle brought him back for a second season with the team.

The 30-year-old was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2015 draft (63rd overall) and played his first four seasons in the NFL with them. However, Clark flourished after being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. He made three straight Pro Bowl teams from 2019-21 and started on both of Kansas City's Super Bowl-winning teams in the last half-century before he was fired in March 2019 this year.

Clark's second season in Seattle hasn't been much to write home about, as he's looked good in two of the last three weeks and has only appeared in six total point games for the team this season.

When the Seahawks decide to formally release him, Clark earns an unfortunate distinction layoffs by three different teams in the same calendar year.
