Sonam Kapoor recently spoke about her journey of adapting to changes after the birth of her son, Vayu. Sonam revealed that gaining 32 kilos after giving birth was a particularly challenging experience for her.
On the Fashionably Pernia podcast, Sonam spoke about the changes her body and mind have gone through post childbirth for your son. Sonam said she gained 32 kilos and was initially traumatized because of that. She became so obsessed with the baby that she wasn't really thinking about working out. It took her a year and a half to be slow as she needed to adjust to her new self.
She further added that everything in her life has changed, including her relationship with herself and her husband. It never made her feel like she used to feel about her body before. She began to accept the new version of herself.

On her official Instagram account, Sonam once wrote about weight loss, “It took me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slowly, steadily, no crash diets and crazy workouts, just consistent self-care and baby care. I'm not there yet, but I'm almost where I want to be… still very, very grateful for my body and how amazing it has been. Being a woman is a wonderful thing.”
