In an interview with Janice Sequeira, the trio shared how feminism meets equal rights for both sexes and as it is not a 'male aggression'concept.The actors were promoting their upcoming web series'The Broken News Season 2,' where they addressed the ongoing discussion.
Shriya said people don't Google the definition of feminism. It's all about equal rights and not superiority. She believes that many people are feminists without even knowing they are, but somehow they don't call themselves by that name because they think feminism is an “aggression against men”. Jaideep also agreed with Shriya's statement.

Actress Sonali added that the definition of feminism has taken on a connotation of “attacking men”, which is uncomfortable for many. Everyone seeks equal rights, not superiority. This imbalance makes us want a balanced society, which causes problems when the scales are not balanced.

Directed by Vinay Vaikul, 'The Broken News 2' is a narrative about the interconnection between politicians and the media and how elections are influenced by these factors. The show also features Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Faisal Rashid and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. It will be released on OTT on May 3.
