Congratulations to Rhian Sugden, who has welcomed her first child with husband Oliver Mellor.

The old one The Big Brother star and former Coronation Street actor announced in November last year that she was pregnant.

For them, pregnancy was far from easy as it took six years to get to this point due to Rhian's low egg count and perimenopausal symptoms.

But now they are loving parents and living in a baby bubble, with their son appearing early after initially being due on May 4th.

Taking to social media to announce his birth, Rhian shared the sweetest photo of Oliver looking lovingly at his sleeping son, surrounded by his dog and cat.

His caption read: 'All my boys! 💙 My life is complete!'

“Baby Mellor born 25/04/24 weighing 8lb 7,” Rhian confirmed.

However, the newborn does not have a name for now.

'Name still pending… 🥹✨'

Fans flocked to the comments to wish them good luck.

It took eight rounds of IVF for Rhian to conceive, with the 37-year-old admitting she had almost given up hope of becoming a mother.

Announcing her pregnancy last year, the model said Hello! Magazine: 'We're over the moon, our lives are going to change a lot, which is very exciting.'

Her husband Corrie added: 'I can't wait for the baby to be born, I'm going to raise my fist to the sky and shout: “I'm a dad!”'

Rhian also previously said Closer that she always wanted a child.

She said: 'It's always been my dream to have a boy, I don't know why, but I always imagined having a mini football team.

'Oliver never said what he wanted, but when we found out it was a boy he had a big smile on his face.'

She added that “they had already decorated the nursery and picked out some names.”

'We like Tommy and George so far.'

Rhian spent more than £150,000 on eight grueling rounds of IVF while trying to have a baby.

The process took its toll on her mentally as she felt 'depressed' when each round was unsuccessful.

She once shared, “I would dread Mother's Day or when friends shared news about their pregnancies because it wasn't working for me. I was brainwashed.

'Every time I got my period, I thought, “Ugh – I'm not pregnant again”, and felt depressed for the rest of the month.'

Rhian and Oliver have gone so far as to plan a future without children.

After finally getting pregnant, she declared their child to be “a miracle.”

Rhian also wants to have another child as soon as she can.
