Parineeti Choprawho is currently receiving praise for his role in Imtiaz Alidirection Amar Singh Chamkila next to Diljit Dosanjhopened up about the challenges he faced after the success of his debut film Ishaqzaade and how she made several mistakes in her career.
During her interview with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Parineeti admitted that she fell into the trap of following the herd mentality in the industry. She revealed that she was told to prioritize glamorous and commercial films, which led her to deviate from her initial trajectory as a 'real and raw actor.'
“The advice I was given was just to lose weight, get glamorous, just do the typical heroine things. to do just commercial films, I tried to make films where there were two songs and a cameo and nothing else,” she recalled.

Parineeti recognized that it was a mistake to deviate from what initially gained the public's respect and acceptance. “So I wasted four to five years listening to this advice that just follow the trade, just do great films, just do what other heroines are doing, you should do that too. That was my biggest mistake”, he confessed.
However, with recent projects like Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Amar Singh Chamkila, Parineeti feels a sense of returning to her roots as an actress.

In the same interview, Parineeti revealed that her advisors asked her to hire a fitness expert and a nutritionist and pay Rs 4 lakh per month to lose weight. This was something she couldn't afford, especially when she was paid Rs 5 lakh for her first film. She said she doesn't come from a very rich background.
