Chloe Burrows faked a romance with Harry Johnson to test whether it would increase her earnings.

After talking to other couples, including Liam Reardon and Millie Court, as well as Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, who admitted to staging arguments to cash in on paparazzi injections in the past, she decided it was time to test whether she could increase her exhibition. and bank balance when entering into a fake relationship.

'Now I've heard how it all works and the big money involved, I want to put it to the test, it's time to launch my own showmance,' she said in her Channel 4 documentary, UNTOLD: Love in the Limelight.

The Love Island star's secret mission involved working with a paparazzo to take photos with Too Hot To Handle star Harry Johnson, who was also in attendance.

Chloe has never met Harry, but they put that aside to go for a romantic walk with the dog in the park. It wasn't just their previous connection that was faked, even the dog didn't belong to either of them! To look realistic, they also took photos together at a restaurant and leaving a hotel.

Their plan worked with the photos that appeared in publications and on social media. It wasn't long before the clothing brands used in the photos started getting in touch and monetary offers for an interview appeared.

“If I really wanted to be serious, it would be really easy to make money from this,” Chloe commented.

“You can start to see the web of finances that can be behind a reality couple.”

The fake couple then had a meeting with celebrity agent Dave Read, who manages celebrities including Joey Essex and Hannah Elizabeth, to discuss possible next steps.

Dave informed the pair that social media engagement was high, that they had both increased their Instagram following by up to 5%, and that he could see a profitable future.

Some of their earnings could come from photos of them house hunting and shopping for engagement rings, and branding deals for home businesses, he explained.

'There's no reason why the two of you in a year can't bank a quarter of a million pounds,' he revealed to a shocked Chloe.

However, despite the earning potential, Chloe felt she would have a difficult time mentally going down this path of paying more attention and presenting the public with something that isn't real.

Since finding fame, Chloe often checks what people say about her, and if she sees something bad, then her “whole day is ruined”. “It’s like a gray cloud,” she summarized.

Following her break-up with her Love Island 2021 co-star Toby Aromolaran, Chloe tried to be more private in her love life to protect herself.

However, she acknowledges that the year-long relationship helped her reach this part of her career. Chloe has a podcast called Chloe vs The World, appears regularly on radio and TV and travels around the world with brands. Most recently, she was invited to Coachella wearing White Fox clothing.

'I'm very aware that I went to Love Island, I had a very public relationship that people were invested in and watched the whole trip. It contributes hugely to what I'm doing now and I'm so grateful for it, but is it worth it?' she asked.
