Petro Gazz faces Nxled on Saturday in a game the Angels could use just to ensure all components of their game work in time for the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference semifinals.

Game time is 4pm at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, with the Angels getting a tune-up match of sorts from a worthy opponent, the Chameleons, whose finish in the bottom half of the 12-team field doesn't really reflect the great effort they put in.

The Angels have been on a roll lately, winning their last four games, including a crucial victory over fellow semifinalist and defending champion Creamline.

With the semi-final featuring Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo, Petro Gazz will determine the final rankings of the top four, which will dictate which team will play which at the start of Tuesday's playoffs.

The top-ranked team will face the third-place team at 6 p.m., while the second- and fourth-place teams will face each other in the opening game at 4 p.m., also at the Pasig headquarters.

An Angels win in three or four sets will give them first place over the Crossovers and Flying Titans, as they will have superior tiebreaker points in the event of a three-way tie at 9-2.

Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo finished with 26 and 25 points respectively, but Petro Gazz will take the lead with 28 points if they can achieve a convincing victory over Nxled.

However, a defeat to Petro Gazz could see the two-time Reinforced Conference champions drop to third or fourth place, with Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo occupying the top two spots.

Meanwhile, Cignal takes on Capital1 at 2pm, while Akari and Strong Group wrap things up at 6pm with all four teams aiming for victories and pride.
