During his appearance in Kapil's Big Indian Show, Aamir Khan discussed his iconic nude scene at the Raj Kumar Hirani director PK. He revealed details about preparing for the scene, where in the film he takes off his costume while holding a radio to disguise his modesty.
Talking about his initial apprehension regarding the scene, Aamir said, “Raju and Abhijat wrote a story that an alien comes, he is naked anyway. He sees a human and runs towards him. And the human also thinks who is this man? The human takes the remote control and the radio comes in his hand, so I asked Raju: 'How are you going to film it in practice, are you going to leave me naked or what?
Aamir said Hirani made him wear a belly shield while they were filming in the middle of the Rajasthan desert, which was well out of the way. Next, Hirani assured that he will keep the scene clean, mentioning that not even people from his unit will be present.
Recalling the challenges during the shoot, Aamir mentioned the discomfort of running in the makeshift suit and eventually deciding to discard it to ensure better performance. “After a few tries, I told Raju, 'Take it out, I have to give the injection correctly.' So I threw it away and ran away,” he said.

Aamir added, “The reason for this is that I used to get embarrassed while shooting. I used to think that I would look awkward on set. We are not used to it. Nobody is used to it. There is a dialogue in PK, that 'a crow uses suit'. I was thinking about how to do this. I was tense. How would this happen? Even if you see me naked, it’s not a big deal, I need a shot at that time, I wasn’t embarrassed at all, it doesn’t matter.”

For the uninitiated, Aamir's portrayal of PK was widely acclaimed for his nuanced performance and ability to convey deep philosophical messages with a blend of humor and sensitivity.
The film follows the story of PK, an alien stranded on Earth, who questions religious beliefs and social norms as he tries to find a way back to his planet. It provoked discussions about religious tolerance, cultural diversity and the power of questioning established beliefs.
