Tyler Perry is adding to his collection of early offerings.

Perry has inked a first-look series deal with Netflix, adding to his pact with the film streamer.

As part of the new deal, the streamer has ordered a drama series Beauty in blackthe first green light for the agreement.

This is in addition to Perry's BET TV deal, which we understand is still in the works and he has over ten series with the company. In 2017, Perry signed a major long-term pact with then-titled Viacom.

Beauty in black is a 16-episode drama series written, directed and produced by Perry. It follows two women leading very different lives. As Kimmie struggles to make a living after her mother kicked her out and Mallory runs a successful business, they find themselves involved in each other's lives.

Angi Bones and Tony Strickland will also produce for Tyler Perry Studios.

In October, Perry inked a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix that allows him to write, direct and produce features for the streamer. That deal followed his deal with Amazon Studios to write four feature films for Prime Video.

Perry's upcoming films with Netflix include Six Triple Eight starring Kerry Washington, and My fault starring Kelly Rowland. His previous films with Netflix include A jazzman's blues, a homecoming for Madea and suspense A fall from grace.

Perry's BET projects include Standingwhich is in its seventh season, The oval, which is in its fifth season and Merciless, which is in its fourth season. He also has Young Dylan on Nickelodeon.
