Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell filmed the final weeks before her death for a reality show, it is claimed.
Reality star, sister of Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, died at age 29, after a battle with cancer.
His family announced his loss over the weekend, paying tribute to their loved one on social media.
In the wake of his death, TMZ reports that she was documenting her final days for the upcoming season of her mother's reality show, Mama June Shannon.
People close to the family told the outlet that she had been open about her condition and wanted these scenes to be included in new episodes of Mama June: From Not to Hot, in an attempt to give fans an idea of what she went through. .
They insisted that Cardwell had no problem with his journey being captured on camera, and staff left his side just hours before his death.
It's unclear when the episodes will air.
Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January, and news of her condition broke in March.
Her mother previously updated Us Weekly, explaining, “This round of chemo was different,” she said. 'She's sleeping more. This round was difficult.
'She has another round of chemo on Tuesday, this will be the third round of chemo she has had. She has a test she has to take this weekend to see if the chemotherapy is working or not.
'As her mother, there are days when I don't know how to deal with it. I can only imagine, like, if I'm feeling this way as her mother, how she's feeling this way as a person who has to live with this day in and day out.
Shannon later confirmed Cardwell's death on social media, in a message that read: “She passed away at my home last night peacefully at 11:12 pm.
'She fought hard for 10 months, she passed away with her family around her, as if she [wanted] and we… will be updating you with more information as we have it today.
'We love you and continue to pray and think for our family [during] this difficult time [sic].'
Thompson later added: 'Anna was in a lot of pain last night, but now as a family we all know she is at peace.
'I really don't know what to say because my heart is completely broken. Watching my 29-year-old sister this past year fight this horrible disease was not easy. Anna was a fighter and she still is.
'I'm so glad you waited until I got home to take your last breath!
'I would love for you to see me graduate from college, but I know you will always support me in heaven! We will all ensure that your legacy remains forever. And I promise to always celebrate our anniversary as if you never left [sic].'
