Tesla has filed a recall covering more than 2 million vehicles after the top U.S. auto safety regulator determined that its driver assistance system, the Autopilot system, doesn't do enough to prevent misuse. The change is the result of a years-long defects investigation by National Highway Traffic Security Administration that will remain open while the agency monitors the effectiveness of corrections.
