Taylor Swift proudly declared herself a millennial in honor of her 34th birthday.
The “Cruel Summer” pop star celebrated her birthday celebrations with a sweet and funny Instagram post alongside a clip of her extension Eras Tour concert film featuring his song, “Long Live.”
“I had so much fun fighting dragons with youuuu,” she wrote, encouraging her fans to watch the extended version to see previously cut performances from the show with a bunch of emojis. “PS, harass me all you want about my literal, excessive use of millennial emojis, but A) no one is prouder to be a millennial and B) it's my birthday and today I'm exempt!”
Available to rent at home through Apple TV+ and Prime Video, Swift's video-on-demand launch comes amid The Eras tour film being nominated for the 81st Golden Globe Awards, alongside blockbuster nominees Barbie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, John Wick: Chapter 4, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse It is Super Mario Bros. between others.
Nominated in the Cinematographic Achievement and Box Office category, Swift's Eras Tour the film grossed more than $1 billion at the global box office, while also setting the record for the highest-grossing concert film of all time.
Swift decided to release the extended version of the film on her birthday for a special reason, explaining last month: “Hi! Well, so basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking that a fun way to celebrate the year we spent together would be to do The Tour of the Ages Concert film available for you to watch at home!”
The “Anti-Hero” is reportedly not only celebrating the release of his concert film, but also enjoying the festivities alongside his friends, but unfortunately not his boyfriend, NFL Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The NFL player was rumored to be throwing a birthday party for her in New York, but insiders People confirmed that Kelce was supposed to be in Kansas City for mandatory workouts.
Sources close to the pair said that due to their very different career paths, they had to celebrate her birthday separately, but would have celebrated it earlier, at a Dec. 10 holiday party with friends in Kansas City.
The pair appeared to be in good spirits despite the Chiefs' loss to the Bills that night, joining the team and friends at a holiday pop-up bar, where they posed with partygoers throughout the night.
“He’s a gentleman,” a source told the outlet last month. “He is very focused on his career. He has a great relationship with his family. He has an incredible energy and approach to life.” They added of the relationship: “It all feels very special.”
The two were mutually supportive of each other's careers throughout their relationship. Last month, Swift was quick to show her support when she liked a Instagram post of the Chiefs celebrating Kelce becoming the fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 11,000 receiving yards last month. Meanwhile, the NFL player flew to Argentina to support Swift on the South American leg of her tour last month, delighting fans everywhere.
