It's not the first time and it won't be the last either, but One of the biggest names in 90s pop was unmasked on The Masked Singer.

The popular celebrity talent competition sees big names wearing head-to-toe costumes as they sing huge pop hits while the judges and audience try to guess who's underneath.

Names like Donny Osmond, Aloe Blacc and Ne-Yo have all been unmasked on the American version of the show over the years, and on Wednesday it was the turn of Thong Song legend Sisqó.

Sisqó, who wore the lizard costume for the first three weeks, was eliminated after four weeks of competition, with judges Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy still perplexed by his identity.

However, fellow judges Rita Ora and Robin Thicke were certain, at the time he was unmasked, that the R&B artist was the man behind the lizard mask who sang Evanescence's Bring Me to Life that night.

Sisqó enjoyed great success in the late 1990s, featuring on singer Mya's song It's All About Me, which was a huge hit in America, before releasing her own debut single, Got to Get It.

But it was his follow-up hit, Thong Song, that pushed him over the edge and made him an international star, with the song eventually going platinum in the UK after reaching the top three on both sides of the Atlantic.

His album Unleash the Dragon went five-platinum in the US in the first weeks of the new millennium, when Sisqó, whose real name is Mark Andrews, became known for his bleached blond, close-cropped hair.

He was asked by Masked Singer host Nick Cannon: 'You rocked stages all over the world, why the hell did you do The Masked Singer?'

Sisqó responded: 'My family loves the show and every time we watched a season, everyone said, “Hey, this has to be Sisqó.” “So when I got the opportunity to do it, I took it and it was really fun.”

Rita Ora ran up to Robin Thicke and hugged him after it was revealed that the pair had guessed correctly, and the pair watched Sisqó perform his legendary hit live on stage following his elimination.

At the beginning of this season, comedian and actor Kevin Hart was eliminated after just one performance, with his off-key singing beneath the Book costume leaving viewers at home in hysterics.

'One of the most charming performances I've ever seen. No one is more fun than the Book,” commented Robin Thicke while laughing. 'My face hurts.'

However, Kevin insisted that the entire performance was a joke and that he only performed so poorly on purpose.
