Sienna Miller has firmly clamped down on 'misogynistic' critics of her pregnancy at 41.

It was revealed in the summer that the actress was expanding her family and expecting her second child, her first with boyfriend Oli Green, 26.

Sienna is already mum to 11-year-old daughter Marlowe, who she shares with her ex Tom Sturridge, who is now dating Alexa Chung.

The star's pregnancy became public knowledge without her making an announcement when photos emerged of her on the beach in a bikini with what appeared to be a protruding belly.

Sienna now jokes that she 'almost got away with it' as the photos were taken at 5pm on her last day of holiday when she went swimming.

Overcoming the 'absurd' backlash for becoming a mother again at the age of forty, the American-British star has since proudly shown off her baby bump in a stunning pregnancy photo shoot.

Posing up a storm for Voguedonned a series of glamorous ensembles, including a plunging gold gown that showed off her bare midriff, as well as a silver net dress as she snuggled up with Oli, who she was first romantically linked to last February.

Speaking in an interview with the fashion magazine, Sienna was asked about the 'online discussion' about having a child at an 'advanced age'.

'I think people are comfortable with a way of life that has existed for many years and that is very misogynistic and patriarchal, with me being the older woman in a partnership with a younger person or being pregnant in my 40s, this is irresponsible for the child… these are such double standards and are so unquestionable in people's minds.

“It’s just a banal and easy target. But it's absurd.

Sienna added that she was “really lucky” to get pregnant because she “wasn’t necessarily trying.”

Now, 31 weeks later and also letting it slip that she is having another girl, Sienna reiterated that it is “so sad” how people judge her for her choices.

Elsewhere, Sienna spoke candidly about her age-gap relationship with Oli.

Asked how welcoming his family was to her, she responded: 'I imagine it would be difficult for anyone to understand what was going on, but there was nothing but love and joy.'

“I don’t think you can legislate on matters of the heart,” she continued when asked about the 15-year age gap between her and Oli. 'I certainly never was able to.'

When asked if she worries about Oli wanting to date someone younger, she said it works both ways.

'For Oli, it's real that I want to be with someone older. My friends in their 40s are meeting younger people who see women as three-dimensional figures. I want to credit this to some level of the work of the feminist movement.'

She added that among her boyfriend's friends, she notices “an awareness of the dynamics that exist in relationships between men and women now that we didn't have 20 or 25 years ago.”

It's something that Sienna is proud to have witnessed, also finding security in the way that her daughters now have more autonomy and the word 'no' is 'in their repertoire'.

'I feel like throughout my adolescence I dodged bullets and advances in a very delicate way, so as not to offend anyone.'

Finally, Sienna believes she is “much more prepared” for her second motherhood, at least psychologically speaking.

'The reality was a big shock. I was 29 when I got pregnant, I had her (Marlowe) at 30. I just hadn't thought about it… I don't think you can prepare for that.

“In my opinion, this is going to be the easiest, coziest, and sweetest because I completely forgot about the realities of having a newborn baby,” she laughed.

The Winter 2024 edition of Vogue will be available on newsstands nationwide on January 23rd.
