EXCLUSIVE: Roma Flynn (With love, How to get away from murder) is the newest member of NBC Chicago Fire, landing a recurring guest role that could expand into something bigger, Deadline has learned. Flynn will debut in the second episode of season 12, which airs January 24.

He will play Jake Gibson, a quietly confident former amateur boxer with a dark past. Fearless and physically fit Jake earns a spot on Truck 51's radar thanks to a heroic act.

Flynn's addition to the Wolf Entertainment/Universal Television drama follows news of Alberto Rosende and Kara Killmer's departure. Both will make their final appearances in season 12; Rosende after the premiere with the final episode of Killmer being kept secret. The series returns on January 17th.

Most recently, Flynn starred in the Gloria Calderón film Kellett With love from Prime Video and the family sports comedy fantasy football for Paramount+. The Afro-Cuban actor is best known for his work as Gabriel Maddox in the series Shaunda Rhimes How to get away from murder and his portrayal of Zende Forrester Domínguez on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Additional TV credits include ABC Grey's Anatomy, Netflix Raising Dion It is Dear White People also from the streamer.
