MANILA, Philippines —PLDT will compete in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference without the services of Mika Reyes.

PLDT coach Rald Ricafort revealed that Reyes will be out of the conference due to a shoulder injury.

“Mika is currently in rehab. For this conference? No, she won't be able to play. She underwent surgery”, revealed the strategist.

Reyes has been dealing with the injury since last year.

Without Reyes, PLDT is expected to lean on the recently acquired Majoy Baron from the defunct F2 Logistics to fill the void left by Reyes.

“It's still good because Majoy is the one who's going to replace her, so somehow, if not better, we're still good,” Ricafort admitted.

In addition to Baron, the High Speed Hitters also signed former Cargo Movers Kim Kianna Dy and Kim Fajardo in the offseason

PLDT missed out on a semi-final spot in the last conference, just behind Chery Tiggo Crossovers with a 7-4 card.
