Pearl Jam appears to have been alive and busy recently, with a new tour and song announced on the same day.

The band, one of the biggest of our American neighbors in Seattle, is launching its newest world tour not in its hometown, but in downtown Vancouver. They will be in the city on May 4th and 6th, 2024.

“Their global tour, hitting nine countries and 25 cities, kicks off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will cover much of North America, including shows at Wrigley Field, Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park,” Live Nation states in a media release.

The tour announcement was accompanied by the release of a new single from their upcoming album Dark Matter (due out April 19).

Opening for Pearl Jam in Vancouver will be Deep Sea Diver, a Seattle band founded and fronted by Jessica Dobson (who joined The Shins for a spell and played with Beck, Spoon and the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs).

Those wanting tickets will have to take a moment and just breathe.

There will be a pre-sale for the band's fan club, the Ten Club (as long as they were members before February 12th).

To ensure a smooth flow of tickets, they will be available through a registration system on TicketMaster; Registration for North America is now open and will remain open until Sunday, February 18th. On February 22nd, people who signed up will be notified if they have been chosen to purchase tickets for the show they selected or if they are on the waiting list.

The band is also using TicketMaster's fan-to-fan face value exchange program for ticket resale to help deter scalpers.
