Hours after releasing their new single “Dark Matter,” Pearl Jam released details of their new LP along with dates for a 35-date world tour, which kicks off May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and ends May 21. November in Sydney. Australia.

Dark matter will hit stores on April 19th. It was produced by Andrew Watt and recorded over just three weeks at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. The album was introduced to the public on January 31 during a listening event at the Troubadour in Los Angeles that the band attended.

“I'm getting goosebumps,” Vedder told the crowd, “because I have good memories. We are still looking for ways to communicate. We're at this point in our lives where you might or might not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that's meaningful and hopefully consider it our best work. Without exaggeration, I think this is our best work.”

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament noted that Watt played an important role in the record's creation. “He has an encyclopedic knowledge of our history, not just as a band and how we write songs, but as musicians,” Ament said. “He could identify things we did in old songs to the point where I thought, 'What the fuck is he talking about?' His excitement was contagious. He is a force. I just want to thank you for keeping us on the right path. I couldn't be more proud of us as a band. I feel very grateful for the fans, but especially for my brothers and these people I made music with.”

The tour will hit nine countries worldwide and will be the longest run of shows in one year since 2009. They will be joined by Deep Sea Diver on the first North American leg, and Glen Hansard on the second North American leg. , Murder Capitol in Europe and parts of England, Richard Ashcroft in Dublin and London, and Pixies in Australia and New Zealand.

Tickets will first be available to Ten Club members through a pre-sale. The general public can purchase tickets by registering with Ticketmaster before midnight on February 18th. The band is using full price, meaning the full ticket cost will be shown upfront. To reduce scalping, they will be mobile only and non-transferable. If fans are unable to use their tickets, they can sell them through the Fan-to-Fan Face Value Ticket Exchange.
