The French striker has a contract with Paris valid until June this year and is close to signing a contract with Real Madrid
The 1/8 finals of the Champions League may be one of the biggest and most anticipated farewells for a player. Next Wednesday (14), PSG will face Real Sociedad in the round of 16 of the Champions League and this could be Mbappé's last match in Paris.
With a contract valid until June this year and no intention of extending it, the striker is very close to agreeing to a transfer to Real Madrid. In the case of qualifying in the current phase, the first match of the duel could be considered Mbappé's farewell to the PSG jersey at the competition in Paris.
When asked about this possibility, Spanish coach Luis Enrique denied it and confirmed the French striker's participation in the match against Real Sociedad.
– Potential last match no. No, I don't feel particularly happy or sad. It's business as usual. I believe that when a team has a player of Kylian's (Mbappé) caliber, the only thing we have to understand is that the more he plays, the better. This is our goal. Today he trained with the rest of his teammates and is available, he said.
Together with Luis Enrique at the press conference, midfielder Fabián Ruiz also spoke about the possibility of the player leaving and confirmed his presence at the match.
– We are focused on tomorrow's match. He will decide Kylian's future. We didn't talk to him about that, just about football. The only problem in the locker room is tomorrow's match.
– He took a small blow, he trained perfectly yesterday. Gaming is completely normal. He will play a great match tomorrow, he concluded.
Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Sociedad next Wednesday (14/12) at 17:00 (Brazilian time) in France in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
