Money-saving expert Martin Lewis said Christmas gifts for teachers should be banned.
Lewis expressed his personal opinion when he appeared on Times Radio on Thursday (December 14).
Presenter Matt Chorley said: “You know, people listening to this are going to think that, particularly the issue of buying gifts for teachers and the pressure of that, is a huge thing, isn't it? “
Lewis responded: “I think we should ban it – it's a compromise. So what I say is we should actually start, and we should start in September and get all these lists extended. And we should just say, I think we should Don't Buy Gifts this year.”
