A major police operation is underway after a woman was reportedly stabbed to death at a home.
Emergency services were called to a house on Sutherland Avenue at Melton South in Melbourne‘s west at about 1:30pm on Monday.
A woman’s body was discovered inside the property.
A man has been arrested and is being questioned by detectives.

One local told the Herald Sun that they saw officers arrest a man who was ‘covered in blood’.
Residents said they heard a loud argument and a woman’s screams before police were called to the property, reports 7News.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed that paramedics were also at the scene.
A crime scene has been declared at the property.
Sutherland Avenue and nearby roads have been cordoned off as police investigate.
The woman’s age is not yet known.
