“Thank you Dodong Bruce for being my brother and always supporting me. I want the world and you to know that I love you more than you will ever know. You are an irreplaceable part of my life. While this farewell weighs heavily on my heart, I find comfort in knowing that you will find eternal rest and serenity,” Elaine Rivera Vergara said in a Facebook post.

“He used to invite me to his Teleradyo program on TV5, Boljak, on several occasions. We immediately clicked. Later, after leaving that program, he invited me to his house. It was the first, only and longest period I was with him, from brunch until night,” said Nañgit.
“I am deeply saddened by his death, not only because our country has lost a very brilliant, honest and patriotic mind, but even more because I have lost a true friend,” he added.
Rivera is a known supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte. He was also known to be close to the younger Duterte.
