The cast of 'Fantastic Four' just got a whole lot bigger with the Emmy-winning actress Julia Garner joining the film as The Silver Surfer.
The highly anticipated Marvel Studios production will feature Garner in a significant role. Shalla Bal, who is set to become the iconic Silver Surfer. The character who first appeared in Marvel Comics' 'Silver Surfer #1' and has a key role in the comics as the first wife of Norrin Radd, also known as the Silver Surfer.

Garner joins the previously announced cast, which includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach's Ben Grimm as The Thing and Joseph Quinn as Jonny Storm, also known as the Human Torch.

The Silver Surfer, a beloved character in the Marvel universe, was last portrayed on screen by Doug Jones in the 2007 film 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer', with Laurence Fishburne lending his voice to the character.

Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his work on 'WandaVision', the next feature film will be part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, production on 'The Fantastic Four' is set to begin this summer.
