Three Filipinos were injured in the massive earthquake that struck Taiwan on Wednesday morning, said Silvestre Bello III, president of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (Meco).

According to Bello, among the injured was an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) named Sylvia, who had a swollen hand.

The Federal Supreme Court (SC) declared valid the amnesty granted to former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV by ruling that the Proclamation issued by former President Rodrigo Duterte revoking it is unconstitutional.

In a statement released by the SC Public Information Office (PIO), the ruling, written by Associate Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, said the President cannot revoke the grant of amnesty without the concurrence of Congress.

Davao City authorities on Wednesday handed over the arrest warrant issued by its regional court (RTC) against Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) leader and alleged rapist Apollo Quiboloy and five others for molestation and child abuse cases .
