NEW DELHI: Indigo will be the first airline to operate flights at the soon-to-open airport Ayodhya Airport. The budget carrier will start direct flights between Ayodhya and Delhi from January 6; and Ayodhya and Ahmedabad five days later. Other airlines will also have flights to the holy city which is set to become a major magnet for visitors with the great Shri Ram.


The temple will be inaugurated on January 22nd.
“IndiGo will be honored to be the first carrier to operate from the soon to be opened Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya. The inaugural flight from Delhi will arrive at Ayodhya on December 30, 2023. Thereafter, commercial operations for a direct flight will begin between Delhi and Ayodhya from January 6, 2024, followed by quarterly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya from 11 January 2024.” IndiGo said in a statement.
With the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya set for January 2024, the city is set for a surge in the number of travelers. Thanks to Ayodhya airport, pilgrims will have direct access to Ayodhya.
