Taylor Swift welcomed her 34th birthday with a stunning party in New York, proving that she knows how to celebrate herself really well.
On December 13, the Grammy winner celebrated 33 years with her favorite group in style. Arriving alongside her best friend Blake Lively, Swift donned a sparkly black dress $2,335 Clio Peppiatt Mini Dress with Stars, Moon and Clouds Embroidered with Rhinestones, taking advantage of his “Midnights” era. And of course, the “Anti-Hero” singer finished off the look with her signature red lipstick.
Fast and the gossip Girl The alum first arrived at the famous Nolita restaurant, Freemans. They got out of their unlit Suburban and were instantly blasted by the paparazzi's “Happy Birthday” song, according to a video circulating on social media.
In addition to Lively — who wore a leather maxi dress and Christian Louboutin lace-up thigh-high boots — several other stars showed up to support Swift on her big day. Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, Gigi Hadid, Antoni Porowski, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Keleigh Sperry and Jack Antonoff were among the icons seen leaving the big event.
Unfortunately, the guest of honor's new boyfriend was unable to attend the party due to a scheduling conflict. Travis Kelce was forced to stay in Kansas City for the team's mandatory workouts ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Rumors swirled before the party naming the NFL player as Swift's birthday party planner. Speaking with Life and StyleA source said: “He has organized a very intimate romantic dinner just for the two of them and is also trying to organize a semi-surprise party with the help of some of his closest friends.”
But despite speculation, Kelce was only able to celebrate with the “Fifteen” artist on Monday at a Christmas-themed bar in Missouri.
Earlier in the day, Swift reportedly received a package of peonies, white roses and several other extravagant arrangements at her city apartment, according to Page six. The vocalist also spent time at The Box nightclub on Wednesday night, according to a report from the outlet.
In true Swift style, the pop sensation surprised her fans with a gift on her birthday – the Taylor Swift: Eras Tour (extended version) available to rent on Prime Video. After breaking box office records, totaling $250 million in ticket sales worldwide, Swift's concert film was moved to the popular streaming service with three additional bonus tracks.
For $19.89, people in the US, Canada and the UK can now rent the film for 48 hours. Underneath a promotional video for the release, Swift wrote, “I had so much fun fighting dragons with you.”
“Celebrate 34 years with me by watching The Eras Tour (extended version) including 'Long Live', 'The Archer' and 'Wildest Dreams' at home,” she continued. “PS, harass me all you want about my literal, excessive use of millennial emojis, but A) no one is prouder to be a millennial and B) it's my birthday and today I'm exempt!”
However, contrary to Swift's predictions, the internet didn't criticize her for being a millennial. Instead, fans expressed frustration with the film's rental price. Angry individuals took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confess their anger at the high price for a limited ownership time.
“This is a mess. What was she thinking? one person commented, while another wrote, “Happy birthday Taylor Swift or something but girl I'm not giving you $20 for 48 hours of movie sorry GIVE US THE OPTION TO BUY.”
One direct user said: “I'm sorry but almost $20 to RENT the movie is too much. I would like to buy it for that price. @taylorswift13 you can't keep raising prices so those are good numbers for you because it's not worth it for some of us.”
The Independent reached out to Swift's rep for a comment.
