A bomb threat disrupted work on Monday at the central office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Quezon City.

The Quezon City Police District and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the threat was in an email sent to the DENR Environmental Management Department by “a certain Japanese national” identified as Takahiro Karasawa.

A statement from the DENR said the department received information about the bomb threat at 10 a.m., which prompted Quezon City police and their Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) teams to search the premises.

When no bomb was found, the all clear was declared at 12:15 by the BFP. —RUSSEL LORETO
