Disney+ Star Wars Series architect Dave Filoni was named Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm.

The new position means Filoni will have an even bigger say in the future of the galaxy far, far away.

Filoni said at the meeting that he is “exploring a possible second season” of the Disney+ live-action series Ahsoka in which Rosario Dawson plays the adult version of Jedi Ahsoka Tano, who was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice.

He continues to hold the title of executive vice president, which he was elevated to in 2020. Filoni “weighs in on the narrative level,” while Kathleen Kennedy continues to lead Lucasfilm as president.

Filoni made the revelation in an interview with Vanity Fair on Tuesday.
