The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has struck out about 17 paragraphs from the petition brought before it by Peter Obi and his party, the Labour Party (LP).

A member of the tribunal’s five-member panel, Justice Abba Mohammed, who read the lead judgment said it was struck out for containing “vague and generic allegations”.

Obi and LP are complainants in the petition marked CA/PEPC/03/2023, challenging the election which brought Tinubu to power on May 29.

The court also struck out a petition against Obi’s eligibility to contest the 2023 presidential election under LP.

Other aspects of the judgement was still being reeled out as at the time of filling this report.
