CM Punk is ready for his first The WWE match will be a decade from now, but fans around the world won't be able to watch.

The former world champion made a sensational return to the company last month at Survivor Series: WarGames, when he performed in front of a hometown crowd in Chicago.

On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw he crossed paths with rival Seth Rollins and confirmed his entry into Royal Rumble 2024 at the end of January.

However, it turns out that Punk will be in action very soon as he joins WWE's annual festive series of shows before the end of the year.

As announced by the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, the Voice of the Voiceless will be in action against 'Dirty' Dominik Mysterio on Saturday, December 30th.

Unfortunately for fans who weren't lucky enough to be at the venue that night, the match will not be televised as it is part of the WWE Live Holiday Tour, which is not broadcast.

Fans were surprised to see the match announced for a non-televised 'house show' rather than Raw or a premium live event, but that didn't stop people from getting excited.

'CM Punk's first live event match since returning… Let's go! But I need this match on Raw… 🔥,” wrote X (formerly Twitter) user @Friendly_guy238.

Fan @oliviaxwlrd asked 'Why isn't this on TV?', with @DawgVanDam quickly responding: 'Saving this for the Rumble gives Punk a chance to warm up for the Rumble.'

And another fan, @ExConDom1238, agreed by adding: 'Probably to get rid of ring rust before fighting on TV.'

The match will mark Punk's first WWE match since the 2014 Royal Rumble, while his last singles match saw him defeat Billy Gunn on Monday Night Raw a week earlier on January 20.

The last time he fought for a company was in August of this year, when he beat long-time friend and rival Samoa Joe in the opening match of AEW All In London, at Wembley Stadium.

He was fired by AEW just days later in early September following a backstage brawl at Wembley, only to shock the world by returning to WWE months later.
