BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A 20-year-old Bataan Peninsula State University student died on the spot on Monday morning, November 20, when a concrete slab collapsed and hit him after a minibus crashed into the waiting area from the public transport terminal.
Reports from the city’s disaster risk reduction and management office said Viel Titulo was sitting in the passenger area when he was struck by a precast concrete slab that served as the terminal’s wall.
Due to the impact, Titulo suffered fatal injuries.
The driver was positioning the bus for a long line of passengers when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
Investigators said the driver of the minibus was detained immediately after the accident. INQ
