Critically acclaimed play by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Appropriatestarring Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll, will extend its limited engagement for 13 weeks with a transfer from its current home at the Hayes Theater to the Belasco Theatre, producers Second Stage announced today.

Producers cited the huge demand for tickets for the extension. Belasco's commitment will begin on March 25th and run until June 23rd.

With the extension, Appropriate will be happening during the potentially lucrative Tony Awards season. The production will almost certainly be in theaters when the awards are handed out on June 16th.

Production will wrap in Hayes on March 3.other gamePaula Vogel's new play starring Jessica Lange opens at the Hayes on April 2, with an official opening date set for April 25.

The transfer will feature original company members Paulson, Stoll, Michael Esper, Natalie Gold, Graham Campbell, Alyssa Emily Marvin, Lincoln Cohen and Everett Sobers.

Elle Fanning, who originated the role of “River,” is not available to transfer with the production; Her replacement will be announced in the coming weeks, according to Second Stage.

Appropriateaccording to the producers, “it is on track to be Second Stage’s most successful Hayes production ever.”
