K-Pop Superstar Lisagirl group member BLACKPINKare you ready to do it debut as an actor in the highly anticipated third season of the Emmy-winning television series'The White Lotus'.
Lisa will now be the third member of BLACKPINK to venture into acting, after Jennywho recently starred in 'The Idol' and Jisoowho played the lead role in 'Snowdrop'.
After months of speculation about the singer's acting break, HBO confirmed in a post that Lisa, who will be credited with her full name Lalisa Manobaljoins Scott Glenn and Julian Kostov as new season 3 cast members.
“The trip of a lifetime awaits,” the post read.
Details about Lisa's role on the show have not yet been released, however, considering her global superstar status, it's safe to say it could be a breakout role. Lisa is also one of the biggest celebrities of Thai origin. Her inclusion in the series that will be set in Thailandit just adds intrigue to the show.

Reacting to the news of Lisa's casting, BLINKs took to the comments section to express their shock and excitement, saying, “LISA IN HER ACTING ERA WAS NOT IN MY CARDS FOR 2024!”

Another said: “This will guarantee an audience. Congratulations to the casting director.”

According to Deadline's November report, the third season is expected to revolve around characters that include a patriarch, a corporate executive, an actress, a pair of mothers – one of whom is a country club wife – along with a misfit and a yogi.
Lisa joins a long list of actors that includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan , Sam Nivola, Morgana O'Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.

Production on the third season of 'The White Lotus' is scheduled for this month, with filming scheduled for Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand.
The news of Lisa's acting debut comes amid a wave of success for BLACKPINK, with all four members recently renewing their contracts with YG Entertainment Inc., one of South Korea's top entertainment agencies. This announcement led to to a significant increase in the company's shares, reflecting the group's popularity and market influence.
