Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad are determined to have another high-profile player in their squad. The club, which has already signed big names such as striker Karim Benzema and midfielder N'Golo Kanté, is preparing a bid of 235 million euros (R$1.2 billion at current prices) for forward Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.
According to The Athletic, the offer for the Egyptian star should be presented in July. His contract with the English actually expires in June 2025. If successful, it will be the most expensive transaction in the history of world football.
Salah, 31, already had an offer from Saudi Football rejected in the last transfer window. At the time, the proposal was for 100 million euros (R$534.9 million at current prices).
The team led by Argentine Marcelo Gallardo, in addition to Kanté and Benzema, includes Brazilians Romarinho, Luiz Felipe, Fabinho and Marcelo Grohe.
