MANILA, Philippines—Arayat FC continued to make waves in the global youth football scene.
Arayat recently bagged the silver medal in the LaLiga Youth Tournament U12 division in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The victory came a year after winning bronze in the same tournament.
Arayat FC lost to Thailand, 1-0, in the final.
Still, the young Filipinos were rewarded for their efforts with a hard-earned podium finish.
Arayat’s 12-strong lineup consisted of Anaiah Sotto, Angelo Fernando, Tiago Elviña, Jof Peña, Rafa Cadiena, Scott Gibbs, Vito Gutierrez, Matthew Zamora, Raiden Belmonte, Liam Cruz, Liam Martinez and Max Villavicencio.
Hamed Hajimehdi, who is also a professional football player, called the shots for the squad.
