The 48-year-old TV star will become a father for the first time when the baby arrives in June.
After weeks of rumors, Ant's stepfather David Woodhall has shared a heartbreaking statement.
Confirming the pregnancy, David said of Ant: 'He'll be a good dad.
'He's good with girls, so it'll be great.'
David added to The sun: 'He's very happy, I think. I'm happy as hell.'
Previous reports said the couple, who tied the knot three years ago, are “beyond delighted” with the happy news.
“It's no secret that Ant has always wanted to have children, but the fact that this may never happen for him is something he has sadly come to terms with.
“When they found out last year they were absolutely delighted but obviously kept the news secret for as long as possible,” said a source. The sun.
“Having a child with the 'love of your life' is 'Ant's dream thing',” they added.
Anne-Marie has two children from a previous relationship. Ant was previously married to makeup artist Lisa Armstrong and spoke about his desire to be a father in an interview 12 years ago.
'Lisa and I would love to have children. They were trying. It's harder than you think when you get a little older,” he told Radio Times.
“We've wanted kids for a while now, but we're both busy.
'So Lisa and I are trying to have a baby… well, we've been trying for a while, so we've got our fingers crossed.'
His long-time co-host Declan Donnelly has two children with his wife Ali – Isla, five, and Jack, one, who has the middle name Anthony, in honor of their friendship.
Before starting work on Britain's Got Talent, Ant and Anne-Marie took a trip to Dubai.
