After a period of speculation prolonged by the double strike, A24 has officially confirmed the cast for its erotic thriller Little babymarking a new team with Bodies Bodies Bodies Helmer Halina Reijn. Nicole Kidman (The Undo), Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) and Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw) leads a set that also includes Talk to meSophie Wilde and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional).

In the film written and directed by Reijn, a successful CEO begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern. 2AM’s David Hinojosa will produce alongside Reijn of MAN UP Film and A24, who are financing the project. 2AM’s Julia Oh, Zach Nutman and Christine D’Souza Gelb will serve as executive producers.

Reijn comes to do Little baby with A24 after collaborating with the studio on its critically acclaimed satirical slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies, which had its world premiere at SXSW. She already saw her directorial debut in 2019 Instinctselected as the official Dutch entry for the Oscar for Best International Film, acquired by the company.

It’s been a busy year for A24, even amid two strikes – firstly, in terms of intellectual property acquisitions. Most recently, the mini-majors picked up the television rights to Paris Hilton’s new memoir for 11:11 Media, Elle & Dakota Fanning’s Lewellen Pictures and Middle Child Pictures, also preparing to develop the Magnolia Parks Jessa Hastings romances for the small screen. The company has also secured tentative agreements to complete production on its horror film constructionsstarring Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich, as well as Death of a Unicorn, starring Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega and many more. Additionally, A24’s animated series Hotel Hazbin com Bento Box was created on Amazon in September.
