Oselmar Barreto, a Vasco fan, got a tattoo in honor of Serginho, who scored the goal that kept Vasco in Serie A in a 2-1 win over Bragantino in the last round of the Brasileirão.

“I have a group of friends in João Pessoa and we watch matches here together. This year we went to Fortaleza to watch Vasco play. But no one had the courage to watch the latter together. Each of them, with their prayers, locked themselves at home to try to spare themselves from suffering. But everyone suffered even more. When Bragantino was drawing, I said, “The guy who scores Vasco's goal, I'll get a tattoo in his honor,” I told GE.

“When Serginho scored the goal I almost destroyed my house, it was a feeling like no other. I dare say it was more of a relief than winning the Copa do Brasil in 2011. A weight has been lifted from our shoulders. This is not something for us to glorify, but for us to understand that this is a key move by Vasco,” he concluded.

“I watched the match with my 7-year-old son, my father also watched it at home, on another TV. When Vasco scored, there was an explosion of screams. At the Bragantino goal, the dryers nearby also screamed,” said the fan.
